For most people those types of "automatic universal" wrenches and sockets will do fine. They tend not to work well on high torque fasteners as well as corroded or rounded fasteners. They also don't last long if you do much heavy duty or use your tools often. The sizes available tend to be limited and the overall size and geometry of the tool are impractical for many applications, especially with interference or space restrictions. But for people who just sort of play around with home projects on rare occasion they are reasonably cheap and versatile. Of course the best mechanic I ever knew used a milk crate for a tool box and didn't have but a few SST's, so whatever works for you. Just my take if anyone was considering such a tool.
