Yeah so for anyone wondering what feminism is. It’s this. Equal rights

Sadly not these days because a very, very vocal minority so the word feminist has become super toxic, it's easier to say rights activist than to say feminist because you'd be met with a less hostile reaction even if either way you're doing the same thing. Both sides will take things overboard in the absolute opposite direction. This is why we can't have nice things.

I agree with Hood. Most rational people believe in equality when it comes to men and women. The crazy feminist that do stupid shit, like protesting a man's homeless shelter that provided food clothing, and mental health services along with other programs. Men and women deserve equal rights. Men and women do have different qualities ,abilities and problems. Breast cancer for example, which is horrible, gets a huge ammount of attention in the USA , but prostate cancer is practically ignored. I think the ratios are 1 out of 20 women get breast cancer at some point in life where 1 out of 6 men will get prostate cancer. The thing to do, is men and women, all of us, have to work together to make the world a better place. The Golden Rule. Extremist in politics , religion or feminism are almost always fucked up dickheads. Plus, people need to keep their hands to theirselves regardless of their sex.

The problem is too many men have nothing to rely on but privileges. The more women realize they are exactly as valuable as men, and - even more important - may be totally complete even without a boyfriend/husband, the more certain men are desperate to create a narrative where "things have turned 180 degrees" and pretend that feminism today is dominated by hysteric imbeciles. Feminists are like homosexuals: mostly you only recognize the most flamboyant and ostentatious individuals, so this stereotype dominates the general reception.

Like i said a very very vocal minority, the majority of feminists actually care about equality but the vocal minority that's causing the toxic stereotype and culture are the only ones getting noteworthy attention and they're ruining the whole thing. Too many bad apples spoil the whole bunch.

"very, very vocal", "too many bad apples" or just overly represented? Like, I don't see too many memes dealing with rational feminism.

Because rational feminism isn't a joke. Make fun of real, rational feminism, make a meme where the good feminism's not shutting down the 'feminazis' or 'meninists' or whatever but it's still about that kind of feminism, and you're gonna be seen as an arsehole. Whether or not that's true, the fact of the matter is that most memes related to any activism are making fun of the extremist side of that activism. Positive posts about feminism or any other activism - in my opinion - aren't memes. They're great posts, and we could certainly do with more of them, not to mention more of the things that feminism is rallying for. But I don't feel they're meme material.

I never mentioned memes I'm talking about news and media in general, kind or good acts of feminism are almost never shown only the radicals because the ones broadcasting the information is either doing it for controversy or they agree with the extreme situation and are trying to spread and fan the flames of hate. It's sad because the majority of feminists genuinely want everyone to be treated fairly but the only images you see in media is women screaming for the death of anything with a penis and the banning of anything that could even be slightly considered a phallic symbol, like a straight line... as a result the only image any average person has of a feminist is a crazy angry woman spewing toxic shit.
