Killmonger didn't steal the suit. Yes, he is the villain, but he did win fair and square (until TChalla revealed himself again) and so, had every right to become king and own the suit.

People see something they don't have and they want it, but they want it better. The villains in marvel are fantastic because they play upon the most basic human instincts of envy and greed. Obadiah Stane was always in the shadow of Howard Stark, then when Tony became Iron Man he probably couldn't handle that any longer. Darren Cross wanted to be like Hank, then when he realised he could have what he wanted he wanted to be great and Erik, he wanted the power of the black panther which he won fair and square.

It's not about the suit, it's about power. All the villains seek the suit (or position in T'challa's case) because it is the highest form of power in each movie. They see what the hero can do with it and they want it for themselves. It's like @illusion666 said, they play on basic human instincts.
