If I were to die from suicide, it would be because I'm behind enemy lines, surrounded by hostiles, know critical information, and only have one bullet left.
If you were to die from suicide it would be because you killed as many as possible with the one bullet, beat the rest to death with a shovel you found, then went home, lived 80 years, realized death wasn’t coming for you either because you were good for business, or because he knew he couldn’t kill you, and then do yourself because no one else could do the job.
I heard not too long ago that there were a few Britts surrounded and heavily out numbered by Taliban and held off without ammo. They decided to go down fighting instead of being tortured and killed on video. I like the SAS. Good folks for Limy Bastards, and that is hats off with respect. One ally that I would love to see coming to save my ass in a shit storm.
Famousone , I hope of you haven't , that you never have to experience combat. I have a nephew that just finished boot camp in the Marines. He says he wanted to go to war before he join. It seems to me that the ones that want it can't adjust afterwards. I think, and just my opinion zero proof, that the guys wanting it don't have the little conscience barrier, that small reassuring voice that tells you that 'I never wanted this shit'. Good luck to you. Duty is duty and you have to keep the faith.
I'm just a hot-blooded kid. I am mature enough to admit that, and I assume I'll grow out of it once my ass is in the fire. I have plans about what to do with my life either way, but I don't want to count my chickens.
I signed on as a combat medic (68W), what I want to do is help the good guys stay up, but I don't think I'll be opposed to putting the bad guys down.
