Like...fat obese or muscle obese? Because I can't envision any action figure not being cut as hell so the only thing I can think of when you put the words "action hero" and "obese" together is a person so swole their organs and skeleton can't handle the weight.
By weight and height. We're shorter, but we're built wide and do heavy lifting. Our weight isn't a risk to our health, but the army says that by their general standards I'm 50 pounds overweight, even though my body fat percentage is within the healthy range.
Nope. Our bones are strong, denser than average, and we have broad shoulders and wide hips. We're just in the obese weight range, they don't take build or muscle into account.
Those sheets are BS. They don’t differentiate things like body fat vs muscle percent, torso or leg ratio, build. You’ve got the bulldog build. I always liked how that build can do a lot with a little muscle. I’m an ectomorph and when I’m chunky at around 18-20% bf people think I’m 25% lighter than I am even though my lifts are all 2x plus my weight. Long insertions and an endomorph with long legs. By those charts I was obese when I was running 6 minute miles and you could see all 8 of my abs.
Lucky for me the army has other standards for people who fall outside the general range, otherwise I'd have to buy plane tickets, hike to Syria, and show them that I can do better than keep up!
It depends on gender, height, and weight partially. But too low a percent is unhealthy too- even more so in women. If you’re hear is healthy, blood work like glucose and cholesterol are good- then you’re mostly fine so long as your getting your nutrients and not having health issues. Excess weight has its benefits and drawbacks for given situations. Extremely excessive weight isn’t advisable. Even if you look like a pro body builder and have 4% fat and weigh 250lbs- all that extra strain on your body and joints from the weight and maintaining the extra tissue is not the best thing for you in general.
The VA.... what a god send and a mess at the same time. It would be great if they could join us in 2018- and maybe get some funding while they’re at it. Great organization, terrible administrative hurdles keeping them from doing all they could.
Yeah, it's a Uncle Sam invention all the way. You need a 750 dollar piece of equipment , here take it. Band aid , huh ? Well ,we will need congressional approval first. Either, way better than cizivillian hospitals or so insanely different that it's hard to make a comparison.
being overweight is unhealthy, but there are many factors that can contribute to a person's weight. I myself dance 4 days a week, lift weights and practice yoga but due to PCOS, i am still considered overweight and unhealthy.
I think as long as you're < 23% fat, you're fine
I'm not a doctor though
