I can too, but I know if I was dating someone and a guy texted me flirting I'd explain to him I wasn't available. Not just tell him he's a weirdo and have my boyfriend tell him I in fact have a bf.

Idk personally it seems more like that it'd be an close friend cause I can see me and some of my older friends saying shit like that to each other bother the pickup line and the response.

That is a possibility bc I do the same. So I can totally see that happening. If that's the case her bf needs to be put in his place (I would anyway) bc there's no reason for him to get jelly over friends. Friends come first.
