Nope, happened in Argentina. Men retire at 65 and women at 60 in government jobs.

That's so dumb, imo. Retirement should be 60 for both.

If we were to use life expectancy as a gauge for appropriate retirement age (which would make more sense to me), it would be the the opposite, as women live about 5 years longer than men on average.

That was the argument brought up by users on another site i frequent, Men on average live to 72 in Argentina but women live until 80. So women would get 20 years of retirement, on average, whereas the men would get 7 years on average.
