Not being argumentative, but where are you located, it may be a regional/country thing, or possibly smooth vs chunky? I know I usually have to check which has lower sugar without artificial sweeteners because my kid doesn't do well on sweeteners. But then I also have to get honey peanut butter.

I’m in the Netherlands, and I looked it up, we do have peanut butters with some sugar here, but not as much as in American peanut butters. Our family just always buys the ones without any sugar because it tastes better
Edit: okay so after a bit more googling even most non organic peanut butter doesn’t have sugar here
I honestly wish we didn't have nearly as much sugar in EVERYTHING, but the stuff that doesn't have it, or chemical substitutes, cost way more. Which is stupid.
Exactly. They are lately admitting that artificial versions of foods that are supposedly sooo bad are actually worse than the original, such as butter vs margarine, aspartame/sucralose/xylitol vs sugar.
There is no source because it's bs. For one, my dumbass dog grabbed a 1/4 5lb bag of sugar off my counter while I was baking and ate most of it on the run. She still sees just fine

The second one is Peter Pan peanut butter.
Both of these products contain sugar.
