The school system in the united states seems to think that only fields that matter are in STEM. As a creative and musical person this irritates me greatly. Coodoes to that guy.

I completely agree. I, as an intellectual, think that the music programs need to rise up and take over the government and restore world peace with the power of sad music.

not just the US. They steer funding towards STEM everywhere, because right now, having the greatest sculptor in the world, or the greatest painter is not as interesting as having the greatest patent
