Oh my gosh, that program is the absolute worst! I gave -1x for an answer, and the "correct" answer was -x, and I am still so salty at having to waste another 15 minutes of my life solving another problem
To be fair the fraction answer is an exact answer and is often easier to read then the decimal answer

Exqctly. What if the answer was 2/3x would you put .66666666 no you'd put 2/3 we don't use decimals because they're not as accurate. Never ending decimals happen and that's what the program is trying to teach you.
The problem is that the program never specifies what it wants. Sometimes it will take a fraction, sometimes it will take a decimal, sometimes it will take both, but it will rarely tell you. It will just flat out say you are wrong
0.25 is just as accurate as 1/4th and it always fucking will be. Perhaps the program is fucking stupid as shit and they should ask for it in fraction form or accept both answers. You don't get do overs on shit like this and it can seriously screw with your grade if you don't get an admin (your teacher/professor) to go back and fix it. It's bullshit... one big pile of bullshit.
@roronoa and that's the point, even if you put a fraction, sometimes you'll be wrong. ESPECIALLY with anything relating with Pi. You're going to get some seriously nasty numbers... and if they don't specify radians, you WILL fuck up.
here we go again... again. Fuck everything about MyMathLab Plus. That dumbass program can metaphorically suck my dick, tell me I came wrong and then burn in the eternal flame. Fuck that thing once, twice, thrice.... infinity.
Wait. This isn't MMLP. Is that shit fucking reproducing? Oh... fuck me.
I was doing Trig homework and somehow got the first part wrong but the second half right. At that point it was way late and the last question so I gave up and went home.
