Rule to live by

We never promise our daughter anything that we are not 100% positive we will do it. What we tell her is "We will see. " Which means me and her Dad both will try to do what she ask but if we can't we will try to do it another time. It doesn't mean no and it doesn't mean yes. We started doing this since she was old enough to understand yes and no. To this day she will ask for something and if I say we will see she stops asking because she knows we will try.
