When you teach your babies sign language they don’t learn to speak
My cousins daughter took a very long time to speak and has been behind on her language skills because of it
Oh of course, because for young children signing is probably easier than learning to speak properly so why would they bother
Sign language would be pretty useful though, so maybe people should start teaching it to like 4 or 5 year olds

I wouldn’t worry too much about it though, once she starts talking she’ll catch up real quick
And then she’ll speak 2 languages, which is great!
Maybe the parent already knows the kid is a mute so they had to teach him to sign. Or maybe he already knows how to talk really good an the parent taught him how to sign to keep his mind occupied. I deff don’t know the whole story so I can’t pass judgement on them. You might not care if ya know the whole story to pass judgement an ya can do it. All up to you!!
Oh I just looked it up, it's the same in American Sign Language, too. The kid's doing like a lazy version haha! But considering his hand is basically upside down, I don't know
