Ive grown up into a capitalistic mindset and I just hate the idea of government having more control of things. Healthcare isnt bad just when the government gets its hands on it. I dont trust the government and I think most things they reach out to touch just turns to poop.
Guest makes a good point though. Most of the things happening in the states baffle me as to what extent the people allow such 'foolish' choices by their governmeny. For example, i was really surprised with the not too recent change that had to do with tax paying. I think it was somewhere along the lines that earning less than 500k gets you to pay more tax than earning more than 500k. Easily something that can be seen to be favouring the richer in this case (who in my opinion don't need to be favoured much).
No, dude, someone on food stamps would pay the same percentage of their wages as someone who inherited daddy's billions. So someone on food stamps pays, like, ten dollars, while someone who inherited daddy's billions pays, like, one-hundred million dollars.
If that doesn't seem fair, I don't think you know what fairness is.
Sorry, I almost forgot, the high quality officers who have a record of using pepper spray then tasers and setting people on fire. Thank god the police are well funded with equipment that can be used consecutively
Are you serious? America, where the police killed 1166 people in a year, and countries like Iceland have just killed one person ever. Where are they setting people on fire though
How about Britain where a combination of pepper spray and tasers set people on fire and are the only way to subdue criminals. Better hope they don’t have a gun or you’ll have to call the special police
If you ask for evidence and I provide that evidence, then there is no denying the facts dude. When police are left with just pepper spray and tasers pretty much, this happens, and that case proves it
I didn't EVER deny any facts, I'm just saying that this was not a COMMON CASE and that both agents should have acted a lot differently. In Spain, police can carry both yet never something like his has happened, so MAYBE it isn't carrying them but acting differently when a scene like the one of the video happens
Whatever, I tried expressing that cases like this can happen but that they're not common, but I'm done with this debate. Here, what you wanted. YOU WIN
I know its bad, but children with cancer make up a small majority of the population and thankfully, there are charitable organizations dedicated to saving kids lives, I for one can pay for my own healthcare, but if people want to tax themselves extra i'm cool with that as long as i'm left alone
I was a child with a bad illness, and we’re definitely more common than you think. My friend with some of the same illnesses that I have who lives in America is struggling. Her mum takes care of her, her sister, and the children of her friend who died of cancer. Mum works for everything and certainly isn’t lazy. Good for nothing husband ran. There aren’t any damn foundations for kids like us because we don’t know if we’re going to die. We might just suffer for years. No foundation has saved her. I’m lucky I’m somewhere else. It might not be cancer. It could be anything, even a broken leg.
My friend has Crohn’s Disease. It’s a very rough process to deal with, and it is VERY expensive. She’s lucky that her parents are just barely able to help her pay for treatment. I can’t imagine what it’s like for all those other minors like her who can’t say the same.
If that doesn't seem fair, I don't think you know what fairness is.
