I don't think it matters where in the world you are, once you step on a sardine train filled with other humans, things are going to stop smelling nice really fast. On hot days it gets worse, and people tend to be stupider. It's awkward for everyone involved when some random schmuck passes out right in front of you because it's 40 degrees and, while they knew dehydration was a thing, for some reason assumed they themselves were immune to it.
