I found a few articles, none mention whether they plastic or glass (though surely they wouldn't have tried this with glass) Apparently the label does include a warning to "store in dark place". Seriously. Gotta love Russia.

a plastic water bottle won't melt, as long as water in it, wouldn't melt in a fire either
