That isn't EXACTLY what they ment by administer. They mean if a child has already been subscribed medicinal marijuana than the nurse can give the kid the dose they are supposed to take instead of having the child's gaurdians come to the school and give the kid the dose.
My daughter takes a type of medicine for her stomach. Not marijuana lol it is just kind of an opposite to syrup of ipecac it has pharmacy strength bismuth subsalicylate. Which forces her to be unable to vomit. But because it is so strong of a medication the school nurse has to have us come give it to her. Well till this coming school year due to my daughter going to the school for going on 4 years they had the school nurse be approved to give it to her. So we don't have to be there to give it to her ourselves any more.
So it's kind of like how they'll keep some Insulin in the minifridge incase of an allergic reaction ? Or hold someone's inhaler for them incase they need it?
