Not an emo song, but I still remember hearing that one where the guy tells the girl in the push up bra to "shake it" for the birds, the bees, and the fishes-- all of whom were probably having a perfectly nice day before he tried to get them involved in his mating rituals. He DOES try to sweeten the deal by comparing her dancing to his grandmother's knitting, though, so we have that
I don't know much about country music, and don't really have a problem with it, but I still think about this song sometimes
Oh I know that song fairly well. It's still not really emo, it's just what makes those types of country bumpkins happy-- even if it is sex of course, Plus, Idk if it was ever intended that he's really being an asshole about it, it could very well just be his girlfriend he's referring to, unless I've read the lyrics wrong
I wasn't trying to say it was an emo song at all, or that he was an asshole. I was just saying it was a very... unique.. Way of telling a room full of women he wants to watch them shake around.

Nah man, classic country music was more like redneck blues. It's evolved into more redneck pop now.
Glen Campbell and John Denver are genuinely good country artists from that redneck blues era before it became all about beer, bitches, and Jesus.
