Well.. If you put it in the vagina.. Its kinda lika a penis.. Wayne which shape it has. Imho.

If it vibrates, has ribs and bumps, is made of a plastic material, and doesn't have any use for reproduction, it isn't very much like a penis at all.

well, you stick something long & round into the vagina (whatever material it have).. so i would say it is like a penis. you even stimulate the same regions & nerves with it as you would with a penis, maybe even more if it has vibrations etc. - and because most vibrators and dildos are made to be feel & look like penises.. i stick to my "it's kinda like a penis" message :P the shape of a penis is the best way to stimulate the right nerves and positions to feel good.. so it's normal & okay that it's shaped like a penis - nothing wrong with that. imho.
