A wasp having a quick drink before stopping by your BBQ

Me and my husband was living with his grandparents so we could take care of his grandpa who had cancer. One day I notice there is a softball size wasp nest above the front door. So I tell them and his grandpa starts saying how he has to call the exterminator and pay a butt load of money to get it removed. I said no you don't. They said we can't leave it. I said I can do it for free. It isn't that hard. They thought I was crazy. I shut the door got the water hose set the water sprayer head to power strem and blasted the nest down. It was soaked and what wasp did come out couldn't fly with wet wings. Than I stompped it flat grabbed a grocery bag picked up the pieces and threw it away. I cleaned up the spot it use to be and went inside and said see it's all gone and done. Lmao they said how do you know how to do that? I said I am from Texas lmfao
