Workout or anything! That's the "Do something" principle: you should never wait for any happiness or good feelings to do something, because doing something makes you happy.
Working out (and crying) is actually very good for your psyche. These activities release toxins and hormones (Through sweat or tears! (Or both, considering you're hypothetically working out)) and, as my mentor always used to say, if the body feels good, then the mind often feels good as well!
That strange calm you feel after crying is your body releasing soothing hormones, and the satisfaction you get from a good, fun workout is your body rewarding you with endorphins for doing a positive, healthy thing. Most of our lives are ruled by those tiny fellas.
over-exertion is a thing. If you don't give your muscles time to repair after a good workout you may wind up screwing yourself up far worse than if you just did nothing.
