The amount of people apparently not knowing that dogs are able to swim is amazing and frightening at the same time.

If there is a accident a dog can get knocked out just like a person and sink before you get to it. Not to mention in the ocean if your boat sinks a dog will get tired from swimming just like any one. Its the same reasons we put them on humans.

Well, that picture clearly doessn't show an ocean and in a severe accident, I'd rather rely on the instinct of my dog than running the risk of heat accumulation
