Technically not. Our current best understanding is that- in simple terms- an embryo starts out “female” and develops other sex characteristics as it develops. Now- men and women both share an “X” chromosome, but For this logic “X” would be considered the “female” chromosome. So if we use “gay” to mean “homosexual” then there is some truth to that. Used in a biological sex specific sense however- a man having sex with a woman would be 50% lesbian technically. Well- we could quibble over percents but based solely on chromosomes we could generalize it as 50% anyway. In actuality the X chromosome is sex lneutral, it’s the combination of 2 chromosomes that creates a sex by its reaction and signaling of certain sex characteristics. In fact- X/Y is simplifying it as we have many chromosomes and many factors effect development and later sexual hormone levels creating a spectrum of sex characteristics.
