Getting your mutual extroverted friend to set you up seemed to work for me

it's not the definition of an introvert to stay in and avoid people. That is a hermit. Why would anyone want someone who sits inside their cave all day and avoids people. That sounds like the suckiest relationship ever and it will get old fast.
