Many safety labels are more cautious than needed. Q-tips for example say on the package "do not stick into ear canal" and people ignore that warning all the time. Somtimes this leads to ear infections, but usually there are no ill effects.
Sometimes warning labels shpuld ne taken very seriously, because misusing the product could be extremely dangerous/hazardous to your health.
Knowing which of the above a warning label is can be a difficult task at times because "I don't have particularly sensyive privates, and I use x-soap that says do mot use on privates on my privates and thats fine. The warning is worded the exact same way. Its probably fine." Is a really sound line of reasoning that completely leads to inflamed angry privates.
So this guy sharing his experience may actually help someone not make the same mistake.
Also, you should always assume a warning label is needed unless you know otherwise. It's not like that's going to happen, but it's good advice nontheless.
