Happens all the time. We used to use sticks to cut their heads off. I'm now only realizing how fucked that is

Those eyes! For those who wonder: that iridescence is caused by the interferences of light after multiple reflections. The distance between the reflective surfaces determines which wavelengths are filtered out and which are not, resulting in all those colors.
