This is actually a great example for media standards of beauty. Even when they aren’t photoshopped. A skilled photographer can use light, composition, angles, optical tricks and plays on human psychology to direct emotion and perception. Then you add in other practical effects like wardrobe, make up, preparations and tricks used by photo subjects ranging from posture and position, to small tweaks of what the camera “sees” and even more ways to showcase a certain look. Remember: photos are a moment in time. Even in person celebrities and models are experts of knowing what positions and stances and factors in relation between them and the viewer will make them look best. So don’t let others apparent beauty discourage you on who you are. Don’t feel like everyone you see looks so perfect compared to what you see in the mirror. You likely don’t have a lifetime of training and spend hours of prep just to look appealing to yourself in the mirror for one frozen moment. Be kind to yourself.
