Not all, cassettes were hit or miss, records were few and far between and a lot of songs you just listened to on the radio and guesstimated.

Some lyrics in booklets were wrong anyway, or incomplete

I bought some black market cassette tapes from a street vender in the UAE (early 90's) and whoever did the lyrics , didn't understand, or care. BlackSabbath had some pretty funny mistakes on it. The first Nirvana CD had a naked baby swimming on the cover, because of their obscenity laws ,the little dude had a black box over his junk
