I give you props for clever thinking. I don’t know if that would be enough for me. On the philosophical, a hydrox is almost an Oreo and vice versa, Lucky If you could have a clone of a dead loved one- maybe it would be the same, but maybe it wouldn’t, and the fact that it was so close to remind you what you lost, but just too far from “right” would drive you mad.
you could make up anfictional reality that followed your will, but Being able to transform yourself and the world at Will might be awesome forever. It may only be fun for awhile, you may get bored, you may change yourself beyond what you could hope to recognize as “you,” an errant thought may destroy you or your reality, I certainly would avoid drinking in a reality I controlled. But more so, you can only create reality based on what you know of this one. Every person could only exist as you knew of them, not those things you couldn’t or didn’t know of them. It would be a parody at best.
You could just go to a reality where everything is exactly the same except for one small detail, like macbooks are a slightly darker colour. Or whatever. Infinite reality theory, bitch.
It'd be a fun plot to have a character with this power, but changed a bit so they can never return to one they've been to before. Opens up lots of adventures for various audience tastes and also difficult sad goodyes as a bonus for the tragedy lovers.
