I mean to be fair christening is esentualy baby baptisim, and youre only supposed to get baptised once you ubderstand who Jesus was and what he did. So it doesnt make sense from a Christian standpoint because that babu dont know shit

It’s something that different parts of the Christian Church don’t really agree on. Some believe in baby baptism and other believe in adult baptism. There’s not really explicit evidence in the Bible for either, so it just comes down to your interpretation. If you get baptized as a baby and then go to a church that doesn’t believe in that, you just get rebaptized-no harm no foul.
