sure, you'll lose tho, my dogs will bite you to death.
i have guests over, the dogs keep trying to rid strangers face off (they're very protective over the house) and you know what happens to dogs that rid people's face off? they die
so i rather have dogs that are chained down for a few hours to a dead one
But this picture is implying that this is the dogs life. They live chained up 24/7. I can understand someone leashing a dog for a few hours so they don’t bother the guests but this is different.
I was not referring to the picture tho but only replying to the comment

Rosalinas i agree, I had a golden retriever chow mix that was so protective that he ended up biting my mother in the face and had to be put down. There's absolutely nothing wrong with protecting your dog by tieing it up behind you house while people visit.
But you don't chain it up with a chain that weighs as much if not more than the poor dog. And while YOU may be referring to only when company is ovet, the post and the comment wasn't. I agree, people who keep animals chained all their lives are shit. You can tell this is a long term situation for this animal given the ground around him, so take your self righteous indignation somewhere else.
I have an overwhelming desire to beat the person responsible with that chain. Or maybe just chain them up to a post outside with no shelter for a few months.
My Dad got a rescue dog earlier this summer. It was chained to a tree for two years with a 3-4 foot chain. Super weak and out of shape. After a few weeks, he was sprinting around the woods, smelling all the smells and chewing all the sticks. It's really nice to see a beautiful animal enjoying life.
Thank you for sharing that heartwarming story! Great to hear that you and your father was able to help that poor dog! The best kisses and hugs to that cute fella! :)
Having to keep a dog leashed (temporarily) or fenced-in for their own safety and the safety of others is understandable, but forcing them to wear heavy chains like this is NOT OKAY.
