It sucks the side dude has to pay it tho. She's the one who decided to cheat on her husband, she's the one that wrecked the marriage, so side dude shouldn't be the one having to pay out millions just cause he fell in love with a cheater.

I've no sympathy for him. If he wanted to be with her he should have insisted she leave her husband before their relationship started not afterwards.

What he did was incredibly shitty, don't get me wrong, but why is the wife getting off Scott free and this guy having to pay millions? The law is dumb and makes the wrong person responsible

The wife should be responsible for paying. Unless the guy hasn't had a girlfriend before, he should pay as well.
