it isn't. in germany the politic is doing shit no one wants. but did we get asked?no. they just do it. most time they even do it hidden without tell anyone till it's to late to do much about it. protests etc. don't help. in other words.. no. a vote is not stronger than a gun. with a gun you can force, with a vote no one gives a damn. in germany a lot of politics are really friends to each other.. so if you vote against one, he tell to the other he should do the same what he would do. it's basicly wayne who you vote for most of the time

Yeah but your ballot can appoint people who will mug millions of people at the same time, whether it's of rights or actual money. So I would say you probably have been mugged by a ballot.

A single vote vs a single gun? No. A bunch of votes vs a bunch of guns.... eh.... possibly.

well if some one is going to go out of their way to break the law by killing someone, im sure they'll go out of their way to break the law by owning a gun if it's illegal.

Bet. Put a row of one hundred people with loaded guns 100 feet away from one hundred people standing next to ballots and see who's left.

Here in America one protects the other .as long as we have the second amendment the politicians have to follow the will of the people. give up the guns and you give up the power of the people and then next thing you know a group of people are being loaded in to cattle cars .i look at other countries that gave up their guns and it scares me and should scare everyone.

I get the point but whenever I see this argument I think it underestimates how heavily armed the government is. Last century, governments used tanks to oppress (Soviets 1953 in Berlin and 1968 in Prague, Chinese 1989 on Tiananmen Square), nowadays they have drones and robots are under development. I don't see people having the guns to defend themselves against any of these.

The government may have many arms, but they are wielded predominantly by reservists who have no interest in taking up arms against the people they live among 50 weeks out of the year. Besides, US civilians have more arms, nearly 325,000,000 of them and billions of rounds of ammunition. It took only 3% of the American colonists taking up arms to repel the most powerful military in the world the first time.

ya but the government against the people isn't going to be only on the battlefield imagine every politician having to have a armed escort in every city and every government building needing real security because at any moment 10 or 20 armed patriots could show up. time money and resources a government fighting the people economy gets sluggish and government isn't making tax money. as for tanks they can be beat ask most military guys and they will tell you no way they would want to be in a tank they are a rolling death trap. in a country full of resources and men who know how to use them, tanks aren't the problem. i think facial recognition is way more of a problem.
