The inertia API included in Windows 7 enables consistent object behavior in Windows Touch applications by providing a simple physics model, so it does actually exist but is useless for front end developing, I get the idea tho

I would ask what it was and once they said it if I honestly don't know it I would say I do not believe I am but if it is needed for the job I can assure you that I would learn the ins and outs of it quickly.

The best way to answer would be to say something along the lines of "I am not aware of the api/I haven't heard of it, what is it used for? Maybe I used another API and if it's required to use the specific API I can look that up and modify my way of working to fit it in"
