You can never expect kids to turn out exactly as you want them, nor should they. You shouldn't have expectations when it comes to kids.

I’m pretty sure you should have expectations for your children. When I have kids I’d expect them to eat fruits and veggies, I’d expect them to not be a bully, I’d expect them to do their best in school even if their best isn’t great. Not having any expectations is dangerous

well you should have expectations like that, but not like a life plan
