Zero is considered an even number because an even number is any number than can be divided by two and result in a whole number. 11 divided by 2 is 5.5 while 16 divided by 2 is 8. 0 divided by 2 is 0 which is a whole number and thus an even number.
Oh, and stuff like 5^0 is 1 because math likes patterns.
5^1 = 5
5^2 = 25
5^3 = 125
If we look at this going in reverse order, then it is dividing by 5 and reducing the exponent by one. Therefore,
5^1 = 5 (Divide by 5 and subtract the exponent)
5^0 = 1 (We do it again)
5^-1 = 0.2
5^-2 = 0.04
Not sure why this post reminded me of this bit of math
That is true. A prime number is defined as any number where it can only be a multiplicative result between itself and one. Zero is the least prime number that can exist because every multiplication involving it will result in zero.
