Personally, what annoyed me was how rude and obnoxious everyone at the event was. I get it, I don't like mobile games at all, but they made it clear they've got other teams working on Diablo and they're trying something they want to try. The booing on announcement, that's fine, but then the stupid questions and the continued heckling, fuck that crowd.
Yes, fuck the fans for not accepting a bullshit game focused on cash-grabbing rather than giving the fans what they want, the fans that put them in the place they are today. And no, it was not obvious that there were other diablo games being developed. They mentioned that AFTER the event, to try and undo some of the damage. The crowd did nothing wrong. They were dedicated fans who were told their beloved game series is going on a platform they don't want to play on.
No, fuck the fans for being straight rude, obnoxious and entitled to the developers who spend a majority of their lives working as the middle men to entertain you and bend to the will of snobby corporate assholes.
Plus, there were multiple blog posts about it before the event. If they where 'dedicated' they'd have noticed.
Yes, because you have to read every blog post made by a company to be a dedicated fan. I'm not going against the developers, I know they're just doing what they're being told. I'm saying the fans have every right to criticise the corporate assholes who made this decission. I wouldn't react the same but I can understand the comments simce they were severly disappointed. Also after the "do you guys not have phones" comment really just discredited the announcers. Sure, they were just doing their job, but their job includes not shitting on the fanbase.
They have the right to critise those corporate assholes, but the guys on stage, are not the corporate assholes, some of them are the developers and there was no need for that reaction. I entirely understand the disappointment, they did the same to command and conquer, and there was obvious uproar, but not to that extent. Everyone acted like "is this an out of season April fools" was a good comeback and slap to the corporation, but the only people who have to deal with that are the Devs...
