Ya, no one learns it that way. It was more like 20 weeks of radioman school while listening to a computer beep at you

That is not even very slightly helpful. Just memorize about every other letter (though some are very easy to just memorize, like E, I, M and T), and remember to add a dot or a dash to get to the letter following each of those.

Yeah, no. It doesn't work that way.

Well, for many people it does. It's a training method. The purpose is to just have every character memorized, and you don't need the method anymore.
