Are you kidding? Some of it was filmed in ireland-- I'd love to go.

Some of it was also apparently filmed in and around Banff, which is just a gorgeous little city
I mean, Denethor tried to burn the son he'd emotionally abused his entire life alive. Gollum was tortured, the entire race of orcs were elves tortured into being. And, ofc, there was the burning of the shire, though maybe this is meant to be exclusively about the movies.

As for Hogwarts, they referred to Luna as "loony lovegood," Umbridge literally tortured students in the halls, a giant serpent petrified several people while a young girl was kidnapped and had her life energy drained, students were taught the spells necessary to torture one another-- inducing a case of PTSD in one of them, a Giant spider tried to eat some of the students, etc etc etc.

All of the locations have rather dark sides to them. GoT admittedly has very little cheer to balance it out, but it's still a good series, and if I were near enough I'd probably go see those locations
bro game of thrones is like 100 million times worse than either LOTR or Harry potter. I mean when we look at it every person either is getting raped and murdered just being an every day peasant or having to go fight the white walkers. That is if you are lucky enough to survive your insane king/queen. At least LOTR the elves be chilling and same with the hobbits. I mean most the humans were just bad for 1 or 2 events and the only rule of thumb is stay away from the dwarves.
I didn't say they were worse or even on part with GoT. I just said bad things also happen in those two franchises haha. o.O I still think it would be cool to see the iron throne, winterfell, the wall, some of the other locations.
