Mexican Ajolote meets How To Train Your Dragon

In the first movie Toothless seemed plenty expression, I haven't seen the most recent one but I'm hoping they didn't tone it down.

I think it's the lack of a convincing smile. Night furies just sort of open their lips and hide their teeth but don't curve their cheeks up.

True, the larger dragons seem to be way more expressive because they have more room to work with.
