Nope there aren't (at least not from my experience), it's just the colour of the Iris that's different. I think it's really pretty when the colours are completely different.
Sometimes only a portion of the iris will be a different color. I knew a girl when I was a kid who had one completely brown eye, and one mostly blue eye, but the blue eye also had a small part of it that was brown.
The brown bit was at the bottom of her iris, and to the side a bit. So you could only really see it if she was looking up and to the correct side (I don't remember if it was left or right anymore)

I’ve never actually met anyone with it but it It blows my mind when I read about kids being bullied for having heterochromia.
I have heterchomia too! I have a hazel and a blue eye. No negative side effects for me. Everyone asks if I see color in one and black and white in another though lol
I don't have heterochromia but my eyes "turn a different colour" (actually it's just that the middle, the outer ring and the in-between stuff all are different colors) depending on the lighting and weather so yeah if you get comments because of it, I can relate :D
Also that is one of the cutest dogs I've ever seen
