How can that answer have a real answer? It's all speculation. He never left a note, we don't know what was going through his drug-addled mind. Sure, you can say "he was surrounded and was going to lose", but you can't prove that's what was going through his head; he could have been overcome with guilt as the epiphany of what he did overwhelmed him at once so he killed himself. Hell, it's not even 100% proven he DID kill himself. The answer provided is just as valid, and as dark as it is, it's hilarious.
