This reminds me of the time I was traveling with my mom and found a tiny pink gum-like thing in her purse. I thought it was gum and she said that I shouldn‘t put it in my mouth. When she wasn‘t looking, I did and I regreted it instantly(it was soap) but I acted like nothing was wrong and waited for her to use the bathroom before I spat it out.

Are you sure it wasn't Thrills gum? Tastes exactly like soap.

One time I really wanted to eat a whole spoonful of salt for some reason, but my grandmother told me not to. That evening when she was not looking I took an entire spoon ful. It didn't taste good. She came in and asked me what I did but I didn't tell her. Around minutes later I puked my guts out so I guess that let the cat out of the bag.
