I just want to point out that constantly thinking about food isn't healthy. Its obsessive. It often causes unhealthy eating in one way or another (whether you over eat because you are too indulgent, or you under eat because you are dieting excessively). I work with disabled people and every weekend they go out to eat on Saterday. Every other weekend it's my job to take them. And every Sunday there is one woman who wants to know where we are going in two weeks. And she will keep asking until a decision has been made. And then she will spend excessive amounts of time talking about going, figuring out what healthy options to eat are, and just generally obsessing. When we get there she ends up ordering what she really wants, which is never healthy, anyway. This is not a healthy behavior.
So well yeah, having an idea of what you want to eat before it's time to eat is a good idea, thinking about it all the time is not something to celebrate.
