Maybe they could start off my Onslaught Saga idea by having Abomination being thrown across the US instead of Juggernaut. It could work, especially since that Disney owns Fantastic 4 and X-Men now.

Then, at everyone's darkest hour, all the villains who made it out alive from earlier movies (Zemo, The Leader, Abomination, etc.) come to help the heros in need, mainly because they want to kill the heros themselves and not let Onslaught take the satisfaction of doing it.

Now they just need to give Karl Mordo a purpose

Imagine that dr doom is a world leader in the mcu who is fascinated by the avengers. His pride, greed and intellect are his motivators. He sees that iron man and dr strange saved the world. He builds his own suit of armor and learns the mystic arts. He intends to prove that he is better than the avengers. He sees that he is the path to world peace. The avengers failed and let thanos snap away half of existence. This will never happen again...
