Um...the majority of the times that that happens you’re trying to read a transcript of a live broadcast so the website/news network is more likely to show you the live thing as that’s what they’re made/paid to do

What sites are you going to? It's always some prerecorded, overly loud waffle on these American sites.

worse is when a video or audio starts playing and you can't locate where it's coming from, so you just mute for a few minutes and hope it goes away
