This is a perfect time to paint your walls!

Furniture, art: If you take your time, you may be able to score at thrift stores, road kill (furniture left on curbsides) and if you have a Craigslist or equivalent in your area. Most of my living room is 2nd hand with the exception of my sofa.

Rooms like this are the best, a complete blank canvas. Cover every wall in frames or paint them, put a bike in the corner (tiled floors are the easiest to clean), set up a little game corner with a nintendo so the neon lights reflect off the floor, put your plants on stools then use the stools to eat and put a table under the window. The possibilities are endless.

Everyone reading this please keep in mind that you should always have a bed frame. You can get it cheap or used or whatever. You sweat when you sleep and having an elevated mattress stops mold from growing inside and underneath the mattress, which (in addition to protecting your health) extends its life and saves you money in the long run.
