It's hard to overstate just how important the Andre heel turn was to the wrestling business. Hogan was the big name in the US, but Andre was a legitimate pop culture icon in Europe, Mexico, and Japan. Coupled with absorbing and destroying the territories (especially most of the NWA), Hogan beating Andre showed that Vince McMahon was a true trailblazer.
This is dumb.
Like it or not, the world doesn't run on niceness and niceness doesn't always work and you have to suck it.
We need hardship and criticism to grow and to be better and those things ain't nice. Even when you have hella thick skin and manage to accept it, it still doesn't sound nice.
You pour your heart and soul into your work and your boss says it is not good enough, you need to change this and that, etc. Will that feel good? No but do you need it? Yea.
It's a dog eat dog world out there, you either prepare for the not-nice things you will get and will do yourself or die.
