If I understand correctly (and I could be wrong, that headline is an absolute word salad) A man who is from Nebraska, married his biological daughter. Previous to their marriage, the woman is question had a competition of some kind, with her half sister, over who would get the privilege of having intercourse with the father. [It is unclear if this man fathered both of the involved women, or if one was of no relation at all] The man in question has been sentenced to time in jail. "Flordia Man" is proud.
Yeah, it was. I get you are trying to sell news and you need to make all the selling points of the story in as few words as possible, but honestly there had to be a better way.
Perhaps: Nebraska Father jailed after daughters' competition resulted in marriage
This version is at least understandable. I realize the incest isn't clear, but I also feel like leaving that out allows for the creation of intrigue. Why was he jailed? Marriage to who? What sort of competition? Maybe I'm wrong on that, but either way, you shouldn't print headlines that require dechipering.
Edit: Also, you're welcome. No promises on its accuracy I did not look the story up.
