Here's my two cents (I'm a woman though so maybe my opinion doesn't count here. Also yes I understand it's a joke but I've seen variations of this all over the internet so I'm guessing there's a grain of truthfulness in these jokes): if you worry about your masculinity so much that everything you do has to reflect how "not gay" you are, that screams insecurities to me. I find men who genuinely enjoy their hobbies, even if they are not traditionally masculine hobbies, much cooler than dudes who pretend to like manly things just for the "masculine prestige". In other words, the dude who bakes pink cupcakes with sprinkles and is willing to defend his hobby from arseholes is imo more manly than the dude who tries so hard to let everyone know how cool cars and sports are just so that they can nod and clap to how masculine he is for liking them.
That said if you genuinely enjoy stereotypically gender conforming things, all the power to you, don't let anyone shame you either.
