We bred dogs (ethically) when I was a kid. Something in the soil- they couldn’t go outside as young puppies. Well- we adopted a baby kitten one year when we had a fresh litter. She couldn’t go outside either. We had to block the doggy door for that tome so our mostly outdoor cat couldn’t come inside, so this kitten grew up with a litter of puppies. She’d dutifully come when called- fetch a ball (most of the time,) and picked up other dogish tendencies. When she was finally able to go out- she’d follow the outdoor cat around and I swear- it looked like the kitten was trying to emulate her (poorly) and the outdoor cat looked so annoyed over having this ungrateful and ill cat mannered shadow following her and messing up her stalking of outdoor prey.

Indoor kitty also learned other tricks like how to jump at request, and would curl up in your lap and just sit and be petted like a dog (although in fairness some cats do this too.) She also was clumsy. Didn’t quite move like a cat, and on more than one occasion I saw her trip over her own feet- she got up and looked around as if to say “I hope no one saw that...” best cat I ever had the pleasure to keep. Second best is a needy and whiny attention seeking stray cat that lived near a job and hung out in the outdoor break area waiting to be petted and crying until you did.

Check your phone. I think someone pranked your autocorrect to say ‘stray cat’ when you meant ‘boss.’
